About my Fundraiser
A friend of mine, Bryan Dalesandro lost his Mother to Frontal Temporal Degeneration (a form of Dementia). In reading about it, it's not a way a person should live out their final days. It can be difficult sometimes to see the light in death. I would like to play my small part in helping to raise money to help find a cure in the hopes that light gets brighter for the next family coping with this disease.
I like to run, and I like to try and help people. These two come together nicely. I'm running the Long Branch Half Marathon on May 6th, 2012 in Oceanport, NJ and I'm guaranteeing a PR (personal record) in this race. My goal is for 1:35:00 for the 13.1 miles and a dollar amount of $2500 raised.
I would love it if it you could help me help AFTD and the families forced to work through this difficult disease.
Bryan, since he cannot run that day, has promised to match your donation DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR all the way to the $2500 mark.
I think it's clear what we need to do here...
